Keith Took

The Greater North County Chamber of Commerce names Keith Took, Old Town Donut, as the 2010 Outstanding Business Person of the Year. Keith will be honored at a ceremony on Friday, April 9, 2010. The ceremony will take place at Yacovelli's Restaurant & Banquet Center, from 6:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Keith has been a member of the chamber since 1998 and serves on the board of directors. "Business has been exactly the same through the years," Took says. "We cater to schools, churches, seniors, kids. The donut business hasn't changed." Additionally, Old Town Donuts is a frequent and generous contributor of pastries to myriad charitable organizations and events.

Also taking place this night is the installation of the chamber's new board members. Dave Otto with Handyman True Value Hardware will be installed as the chamber's new Chairman. Invitations will be mailed shortly. Please mark your calendars!

Mystery Dinner Theatre

The chamber presented their Mystery Dinner Theater on Friday, February 26 at Yacovelli's. A special thanks to our wonderful sponsors! Presenting Sponsor: Yacovelli's Restaurant & Banquet Center. Stage Sponsors: Delmar Gardens/Garden Villas North, Nimmons Wealth Management, SSM DePaul Health Center and White Auto Body. Table Sponsors: Click Heating & Cooling and ManorCare Health Services. The cast consisted of: Barbara Eichler, Cay Hanna, Anita Martinez, Tony Mathews, Amanda Mathews, Scott Schneider, Colleen Simon, Elaine Sweeney and Patrick Viets. This cast put on a very entertaining show! Don't forget to gather your group of friends together and make reservations for next year!

Discover Your Fellow Members

The Greater North County Chamber would like to thank our members for their support of our luncheon meetings. We have broken down the membership directory by first initial of each business. At each membership meeting we distribute a flyer with a list of businesses from the chamber directory. We ask all in attendance to circle any business on the flyer that they have visited in the last 12 months. Once we have the results we post the member with the highest number of visits online and in the newsletter. At the February Meeting the business with the most visits was St. Louis Bread Company! They were followed closely by Sam's Club and Schnucks Markets. At our March Meeting we will be highlighting our businesses that begin with the letters "T," "V," "W," and "Z."
