Sister Helen Negri, CEO of Child Center-Marygrove,
recently received the distinction of serving children
in need for the past 25 years. The award was presented
by Archbishop Raymond L. Burke, Diocese of St. Louis,
and Thomas Mulhearn, President of Catholic Charities,
at a ceremonial mass held at Our Lady of Pillar.
The
City of Florissant will host "Be a City of Florissant
Community Hero" on Saturday, May 17 from 8 a.m. -
3 p.m. Residents will have the opportunity to donate
blood, learn CPR and learn how to prepare for emergencies.

The
Hazelwood School District's communications/media
relations department earned top awards in the 2008
Missouri School Public Relations Association's publication
contest. HSD earned more awards than any other district
in the state of Missouri, and earned two of the program's
highest designation, Award of Excellence.

admission (ages 3 and up) are available for $29 and
season passes are available for $71. General admission
