Referral Service
The Chamber is a resource for many individuals
inquiring about a specific product or service. Those
individuals include visitors to the community, residents,
and persons relocating to our Chamber area. The Chamber
office receives calls every day for the names, addresses,
and phone numbers of local businesses and professionals.
Individuals are referred only to those business and
professionals who are Chamber members.
 Chamber
Directory
Published every year the directory lists categorically
and alphabetically all Chamber members in good standing.
Your directory listing is included with your membership
and is updated on a yearly basis. The directory is
distributed to all Chamber members, at various Chamber
businesses, and in relocation packets. Also, contained
in the directory is information about our four municipalities,
local and state officials, and community organizations
or services.
Chamber Web Site
The Chamber Web Site is a very useful tool for current
members, potential members, residents, and visitors
to our area. Included in your membership is a listing
both categorically and alphabetically on our Web Site.
Members will also find up to date information on all
Chamber news, events, and fellow members. Through
the Web Site members can sign up for events, locate
other members, and send E-mails to the membership
about their product or service. Visit the Chamber

Chamber Monthly Newsletter
The Chamber Newsletter, In Action, is the medium used
by the Chamber Staff and Board of Directors to communicate
information to the membership. Inside members will
find information on chamber events, committee meeting
details, a calendar of events, new member listings,
business profiles on new members, community activities,
and much more. Members have the opportunity to advertise
or place flyers into the newsletter.
Monitor Legislative Affairs
The Chamber's Legislative committee is very active
with the Florissant Valley area. They meet with local
leaders on a monthly basis to talk about issues that
are concerning businesses and residents. The committee
sends out updates on important issues through the
Chamber Newsletter, Web Site, Faxes, or E-Mails.
Chamber Seminars
We never stop learning in our professional life. There
is always something new to learn. The Chamber offers
training and seminars throughout the year to help
members improve their business and grow in their professional
life. If you have an area of interest that you would
like to see a seminar on please contact the Chamber
office and we would be happy to discuss a way to make
it happen.
 Ribbon
Cuttings Ceremonies
The Chamber staff and members will hold ribbon cutting
ceremonies for new Chamber businesses in the area.
They will come with their ceremonial ribbon and scissors
for the ceremony. Ribbon cuttings can also be arranged
for relocations of current businesses, new facilities,
changes of ownership, or other significant happenings
in the life of a business. Please call the Chamber
office for more information.
Member Faxes & E-mails
Each week Chamber members will be alerted to chamber
or community events, committee meetings, and other
important information.
Area Maps
The Chamber provides local residents and visitors
with a street map of our four municipalities. As a
way of promoting their business or product members
can sponsor this map that goes out to visitors each
week.
Chamber Monthly Luncheons
Every third Wednesday of the month, excluding December,
the Chamber hosts a Membership Luncheon. During these
luncheons members are encouraged to network with current
and new members to establish new business contacts.
The Chamber also invites a speaker each month to educate
our members on the community or to improve their professional
career.
Business
After Hours
Hosted by different Chamber members, the Chamber's
Business After Hours are the perfect place to meet
other members in a relaxed atmosphere. Members are
encouraged to bring lots of business cards to hand
out. This is an excellent way to make new business
contacts and friends. Hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and
invites are provided by the host. If you would like
to host a Business After Hours please contact the
Chamber office and the staff would be more than happy
to provide you with more details.
Installation Dinner
Held annually during the month of April, the Installation
Dinner is the forum for officially installing the
new Board of Directors and Executive Officers. This
is also a time when we recognize the retiring Board
of Directors and Chairman of the Board.
Star Member Awards
Each year the Chamber recognizes members who have
shined in the Chamber. These members have given of
their time and energy to help improve the Chamber
and its members.
Spring
Golf Tournament
Each year the Chamber hosts its annual Spring Golf
Tournament. Members come together for a wonderful
day of golf, drinks, dinner, and prizes.
Nite of Stars
The Holiday Season is a special time of year at the
Chamber. The Nite of Stars is the annual Christmas
event that brings together all the Chamber members.
There is dinner, drinks, dancing, great conversation,
a silent auction, and the opportunity to win a big
attendance prize.
 Business
Expo
The Business Expo allows Chamber members to connect
with the community and promote their product or service.
Chamber members have the opportunity to display their
products and services to the public in an environment
that is fun and informative for everyone.
Casino
Night
This is one of the best evenings for the Chamber during
the year. People come to enjoy a night straight out
of Las Vegas. Prizes are awarded throughout the night
and members play to win fabulous grand prizes.
 Scholarship
Program
The Chamber's Scholarship Program is sponsored by
the Partners in Education committee. Each year the
chamber raises funds to give four local high school
seniors the opportunity to further their education.
Money is raised by donations, a Fall Golf Tournament,
and by the Chamber Piggy Banks. All proceeds raised
go directly to the Scholarship fund. The Chamber has
given away $10,000 in scholarships over three years.
Flamingo Friday's
One Friday out of every month Diana Weidinger, President,
and Tony Mathews, Director of Marketing & Special
Events, visit various Chamber members to inform them
about Chamber events and see what they can assist
each member with. Their mission is to create ways
to make all of your businesses prosper and your business
relationships grow.
Outstanding Businessperson
of the Year
Each year a Chamber member is recognized for their
outstanding work in the Chamber and in the community.
While our Chamber has many members who excel in their
chosen field, we are looking for that individual who
embodies the best qualities of Community Leadership
through the combination of business, civic, and community
activities. This award is open to all Chamber members.
You may nominate someone for this award or you may
simply nominate yourself. If nominating someone else,
please have the approval of the nominee before submitting
his or her nomination.
